Capella works with United Way to pack school supplies for children in need

August 2008

Each year Capella staff member Chris Timms works with the Peterborough United Way to store and pack school supplies in knapsacks. The United Way then distributes the supplies to children in need, through their schools.

The United Way has distributed school supplies to over 3000 children since starting the "Backpacks for Kids" project in 2003. This year 800 backpacks full of supplies were assembled in the Capella warehouse, by local volunteers, Chris Timms, and Capella's owner Norm Slater.
